It was in 1999 when I first wrote the lyrics to this song. I had just lost my mother, and my partner at the time went into rehab for a heroin addiction. It was a dark hour for me. Recently, after JDF and my father passed away, I dusted these lyrics off, rediscovered the meaning of this song and finally recorded it with producer Nick Marzok ... Life is precious, and I am so grateful for this wild ride, even in our darkest hours.
